டெங்கு ஒழிப்பில் மாணவர்களை ஈடுபடுத்தும் வகையில், சுகாதாரத் துறை புதிய முயற்சியை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளது.

தமிழகத்தில், டெங்கு மற்றும் பன்றி காய்ச்சலின் தாக்கம் பொதுமக்களை மிரள வைத்துள்ளது. டெங்கு காய்ச்சலுக்கு காரணமான, 'ஏடிஸ்' வகை கொசுக்களின், புழு நிலையிலான 'லார்வா'க்களை கண்டறிந்து ஒழிப்பது, சுகாதாரத் துறைக்கு பெரும் சவாலாக உள்ளது.
